ESI Canada Earns ISO 9001 Registration
ESI Canada, Inc. Earns ISO 9001 Registration
TORONTO, March 15 2000 /CNW/ - ESI Canada, Inc. has recently earned ISO 9001 registration for its quality management system. The coveted International Organization for Standardization (ISO) rating is globally recognized as the standard for organizations committed to delivering products and services that are efficient, consistent and continuously improving. ESI Canada is one of a very few companies in the employee benefits industry applying ISO methodology.
ESI Canada sought ISO registration as validation of the high standards already in place within our company. Considering that the number of prescription drug claims processed increased from 1.7 million in 1997 to over 12.3 million in 1999, ESI Canada has a substantial responsibility to ensure that each claim is adjudicated correctly on behalf of its customers -- namely, insurance companies and third party administrators.
Intertek Testing Services registered ESI Canada's quality management system after thorough evaluation of all organizational processes. ISO 9001 registration and ongoing compliance requires proof not only that a documented set of procedures exists for each business activity, but also that these procedures are followed and produce the desired results.
ESI Canada is a Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) company specializing in innovative and flexible claims adjudication, drug utilization review, reporting, drug plan management, pharmacy network management and unique clinical programs. The company acts as an intermediary among insurance companies, third-party administrators, pharmaceutical companies, plan sponsors, pharmacies, physicians and patients, providing a complete PBM solution to its clients.
